Actinac
What is it?
An antibacterial steroid (corticosteroid) preparation with skin softening properties, available as a powder with solvent to be made up as a lotion. Contains the broad spectrum antibiotic chloramphenicol (4%), hydrocortisone acetate (4%) and Also, sulphur precipitate, allantoin and butoxyethyl nicotinate.
Medical Uses
Acne.
Dosage
Apply to affected skin morning and night for 4 days then at night only for up to 3 weeks, continuing for 3 days after spots have disappeared.
Special Care
Pregnant women, avoid contact with jewellery.
Known Side Effects
Possible erythema, which may be severe.
