Aerocrom Syncroner

What is it?

A non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory 132 agonist comprising 1mg sodium cromoglycate and 100µg salbutamol per metered dose. Delivered by metered dose aerosol with inbuilt spacer device. Also, AEROCROM INHALER comprising 1mg sodium cromoglycate and 100µg salbutamol per dose, delivered by metered dose aerosol.

Medical Uses

Maintenance treatment of asthma in people regularly receiving these drugs.

Dosage

Adults: 2 inhalations 4 times each day to be taken on continuous basis. If there is wheezing, an additional 2 inhalations may be taken.

Special Care

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, angina, high blood pressure, heart conditions, overactive thyroid gland.

Avoid Use

Children, asthma attack.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Other steroid drugs, sympathomimetics, diuretics, xanthines, β-blockers.

Known Side Effects

Irritated throat, coughing, dilation of peripheral blood vessels, low blood calcium levels, headaches, slight tremor; rarely, bronchospasm.
