What is it?

A hormonal, oestrogen preparation in a nasal spray comprising 150µg oestradiol hemihydrate per spray.

Medical Uses

Hormone replacement therapy in post-menopausal women.

Dosage

Women: start with 1 spray in each nostril (given one after the other) once daily; if necessary, increase to 3 to 4 sprays total dose, divided between morning and evening or decrease to 1 spray, according to response. Take for 3 to 4 cycles (if present), to gauge response before adjusting. For maintenance, use lowest effective dose and use continuously (or cyclically, if applicable). Women who have not had a hysterectomy require progestogen for at least 12 days of assumed 28 day cycles. Special Care, Avoid use, Possible interaction,
