Alphaderm
What is it?
A moderately strong steroid with a hydrating agent (to moisten the skin). Alphaderm combines 1% hydrocortisone, 10% urea in a slightly oily cream.
Medical Uses
Dermatitis and eczema.
Dosage
Wash and dry affected skin and apply thinly twice a day.
Special Care
Short-term use only (especially in children or on face).
Avoid Use
Acne, scabies, tuberculosis, ringworm, untreated bacterial and fungal infections, viral skin diseases, leg ulcers, pregnant mothers.
Known Side Effects
Usually few but skin thinning, adrenal gland suppression, fluid retention possible.
