What is it?

Also, AMINOGRAN PKU: a preparation of essential and nonessential amino acids, without phenylalanine, available as green tablets each providing 4 to 6 kcal. Also, AMINOGRAN MINERAL MIXTURE: a supplement of minerals used with Aminogran.

Medical Uses

Phenylketonuria ( a genetic disorder that results in the deficiency of an enzyme that converts the essential amino acid phenylalanine, into tyrosine. Affected, untreated children can be severely mentally retarded as the nervous system sustains damage from excess phenylalanine in the blood. It is detected at birth by means of the Guthrie test).

Children over 8 years old and adults; as directed by specialist.
