Audicort

What is it?

A combined antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory (corticosteroid) preparation available in the form of ear drops. Audicort contains 1 mg triamcinolone acetate and neomycin undecenoate (antibiotic) (equivalent to 3.5mg neomycin base).

Medical Uses

Chronic and acute inflammation and/or bacterial infection of the outer ear. Dosage; adults, 2-5 drops three or four times each day.

Special Care

Pregnant and nursing mothers.

Avoid Use

Children, patients with perforated ear drum.

Known Side Effects

Localized irritation, additional infection.
