Betoptic
What is it?
A cardio-selective β-blocker that reduces pressure within the eye. Contains 0.25% betaxolol as hydrochloride in suspension in single dose vials or in bottle. Also, BETOPTIC SOLUTION contains 0.5% betaxolot hydrochloride in the fornt of eye drops.
Medical Uses
Chronic open angle glaucoma and hypertension of eyes.
Dosage
1 drop twice each day into eye.
Special Care
Patients with diabetes, thy rotnxicosis, blocked airways disease, those undergoing general anaesthetic.
Avoid Use
Children, patients with certainheart diseases including heart shock, cardiac failure, slow heart beat, those using soft contact lenses.
Known Side Effects
Passing slight discomfort, rarely staining or reddening of cornea and decreased sensitivity of cornea, keratitis.
