What is it?
A Strong, Topical Steroid Preparatioii For Use On The Scalp Containing 0.1% Betamethasone As Valerate In The Form Of A Foam Or Mousse.
Medical Uses
Irritation And Inflammation Ofthe Scalp Which Is Steroid Sensitive.
Dosage
Adults; Apply A Small Quantity (About The Size Of A Ping-Pong Ball), To The Affected Area At Night And In The Morning Until The Condition Improves; Thereafter, Apply Once A Day For Maintenance Until Healed. If No Improvement Has Occurred After One Week Of Full Treatment, Discontinue Use. Children Over 6 Years; Apply A Small Quantity Twice Each Day, As For Adults, But Do Not Use For More Than 5 To 7 Days.
Special Care
After Extended Use, Withdraw Gradually; Do Not Use On Open Wounds, Avoid Contact With Eyes Or Mucous Membranes. Do Not Cover With Dressings.
Avoid Use
Children Under 6 Years; Ringworm, Viral Infections; Untreated Bacterial Or Fungal Infections; Longterm Or Extensive Treatment, Especially In Pregnancy.
Known Side Effects
Possible Cushingoid Effects And Adrenal Gland Suppression, Especially With Long-Term Or Extensive Use, Skin Changes. Condition May Worsen If Infection Is Present.
