Brasivol

What is it?

A cleansing and abrasive preparation containing aluminium oxide available as two grades of paste, No. 1, fine and no. 2, medium.

Medical Uses

Acne vulgaris.

Dosage

Adults only; apply a small quantity of No. 1 paste to wet skin and rub in for about 20 seconds, then rinse in warm water and dry. Repeat up to three times each day. If necessary, progress to using No. 2 paste.

Avoid Use

Children.

Known Side Effects

Development of venules (tiny veins) near the surface of the skin and telangiectasia (dilation and damage to venules and capillaries).
