What is it?

An adsorbent preparation available as a suspension containing 50g of activated charcoal.

Medical Uses

Drug overdose and poisoning.

Dosage

Adults, 50g taken by mouth or directly into the stomach by intragastric tube, as soon as possible after overdose or poisoning, repeated every 4 hours, as necessary. Children, 25 to 50g taken by mouth or directly into the stomach by intragastric tube, repeated, if necessary, as directed by physician.
