What is it?

A skin preparation available as an ointment containing a vitamin D analogue. Contains 4µg per gram of tacalcitol as monohydrate.

Medical Uses

Psoriasis plaques.

Dosage

Adults, apply thinly to affected areas before going to bed, using a maximum of 10g each day. Duration of treatment period depends upon response.

Special Care

Erythrodermic exfoliative psoriasis, pustular psoriasis, kidney disorders, patients at risk of elevated blood calcium levels.

Avoid Use

Children, elevated blood calcium levels, other metabolic disorders of calcium processing.
