Difflam Oral Rinse

What is it?

A Non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) available as a mouth wash containing 0.15% benzydamine hydrochloride. Also, DIFFLAM SPRAY, available as a metered dose, pump spray containing 0.15% benzydamine hydrochloride.

Medical Uses

Inflamed and painful conditions of the mouth and throat.

Dosage

Adults, mouth wash, use as gargle or rinse every 11/2 to 3 hours; spray, 4 to 8 sprays every 1 1/2 to 3 hours. Children, spray only, aged under 6 years, 1 spray per 4kg of body weight with a maximum of 4 sprays every 11/z to 3 hours; aged 6 years and over, 4 sprays every 11/z to 3 hours.

Known Side Effects

Rarely, allergic reaction, numbness and stinging of mouth.
