What is it?

An anti-migraine preparation which is a central B agonist, with the capacity to reduce neuronal excitability, available as sugar-coated tablets, blue tablets containing 25µg of clonidine hydrochloride.

Medical Uses

Prevention of migraine and vascular headaches that keep recurring; Also, for flushing due to the menopause.

Dosage

2 to 3 tablets morning and evening.

Special Care

Breastfeeding, depression.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Antihypertensives.

Known Side Effects

Dizziness, insomnia, drymouth, sedation.
