Dolmatil

What is it?

A substitute benzamide, available as tablets in two different strengths; scored, white tablets contain 200mg of sulpride and are marked D200.Capsule-shaped, scored, white tablets, marked SLP 400, contain 400mg of sulpride. Used for. acute and chronic schizophrenia.

Dosage

Adults and children over 14 years, 400-800mg each day at first in two divided doses, then 200-1200mg twice daily according to response required.

Special Care

Pregnancy, epilepsy, kidney disease, hypomania (a pschological disorder characterised by excitabilty, hyperactivity, irritability, heightened sexual interest, talkativeness, low sleep reqirement).

Avoid Use

Children under 14 years, phaeochromocytoma (adrenal gland tumour causing a range of symptoms), serious liver, kidney or blood diseases.
