Doloxene

What is it?

An opiate preparation used for pain relief, available as pink capsules marked LILLY H64, containing 60mg of dextropropoxyphene napsylate.

Medical Uses

Mild to moderate pain.

Dosage

Adults, 1 capsule 3 or 4 times each day.

Special Care

Pregnancy, the elderly, kidney or liver disease.

Avoid Use

Children.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Anticonvulsants, anticoagulants, alcohol, CNS depressants.

Known Side Effects

Drowsiness, constipation, nausea, dizziness, rash. Also, tolerance and dependence.
