What is it?

An anti-androgen available as scored, yellow tablets containing 250mg of flutamide.

Medical Uses

Advanced cancer of the prostate gland.

Dosage

1 tablet 3 times per day.

Special Care

Fluid retention in patients with heart disease. Liver function tests should be performed periodically.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Warfarin.

Known Side Effects

Gynaecomastia (abnormal breast enlargement in men), breast tenderness, gastrointestinal upsets, galactorrhea (abnormal production of milk), increased appetite, tiredness toxic effects on liver, insomnia.
