Edro Nax
What is it?
An antidepressant preparation which is a selective, noradrenaline re-uptake inhibitor, available as scored, white tablets containing 4mg of reboxetine (as methanesulphonate), marked PU and 7671.
Medical Uses
Depression.
Dosage
Adults, 4mg twice each day increasing to 10mg each day after 3 to 4 weeks if necessary. Maximum daily dose is 12mg.
Special Care
History of epilepsy, glaucoma, liver or kidney disease, urine retention, bipolar patients (swinging between, or combining, mania and depression).
Avoid Use
Children, elderly persons, pregnancy, breastfeeding.
Possible Drug and Food Interactions
Macrolides, azole antifungals, MAOIs, fluvoxamine, TCADs, cyclosporin, antipsychotics, antiarrhythmics, potassium-losing diuretics, derivatives of ergot alkaloids.
Known Side Effects
Insomnia, tachycardia, dry mouth, dizziness, constipation, disruption of sense of taste, palpitations, urine retention, dysuria (painful urination), impotence, sweating, pain in testicles, low blood pressure, infections of urinary tract.
