Eldisine

What is it?

A cytotoxic drug which is a vinca alkaloid produced in the form of a powder in vials for reconstitution and injection. Eldisine contains 5mg vindesine sulphate in vial and in addition, 5ml diluent.

Certain malignant conditions.

Dosage

As directed by physician skilled in cancer chemotherapy.

Special Care

Only to be administered by specially trained medical staff-precautions must be observed in handling. Powder should be reconstituted by skilled staff wearing protective clothing and gloves under controlled conditions. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. Only to be given intravenously. Consult manufacturer's prescribing notes.
