Endekay Fluotabs

What is it?

A fluoride supplement available as tablets in two strengths containing 1.1mg or 2.2mg of sodium fluoride, equivalent to 0.5mg and 1mg of fluoride, respectively. Also, ENDEKAY FLUODROPS, available as a solution containing 0.55mg of sodium fluoride, equivalent to 0.25mg of fluoride per 0.15ml drop.

Medical Uses

Protection of children's teeth against decay.

Dosage

When fluoride content of tap water is less than 0.3ppm (parts per million); children aged 6 months to 3 years, 0.25mg or 7 drops each day; aged 3 to 6 years, 0.5mg or 14 drops each day; aged over 6 years, 1 mg or 28 drops each day. When fluoride content of tap water is between 0.3 to 0.7ppm; not recommended for children aged under 3 years. Children aged 3 to 6 years, 0.25mg or 7 drops each day; aged over 6 years, 0.5mg or 14 drops each day.

Special Care

Should be taken at different time of day to tooth brushing; tablets should be sucked or chewed.

Avoid Use

Children under 6 months; when fluoride content of tap water is greater than 0.7ppm.

Known Side Effects

Diseolouration of teeth (fluorosis) if exposure to fluoride is excessive.
