Eumovate

What is it?

A moderately potent topical steroid in the form of cream and ointment containing 0.05% clobetasone butyrate.

Medical Uses

Dermatitis, eczema and skinconditions responsive to steroids.

Dosage

Apply thinly to affected area up to 4 times each day.

Special Care

Should not be used on face or on children for more than 5 days. Should be stopped gradually. Avid use: prolonged or extensive use especially pregnant women or continual use as a preventative. Should not be used to treat acne, leg ulcers, scabies, pen-oral dermatitis, tuberculous skin conditions, skin disorders caused by viruses, ringworm, any untreated bacterial or fungal skin infections.

Known Side Effects

Thinning of skin, adrenal gland suppression, hair growth, Cushingoid type symptoms (Cushing's syndrome).
