Exterol

What is it?

A cerumenolytic (a preparation that softens ear wax) available as ear drops containing 5% urea hydrogen peroxide in glycerin.

Medical Uses

Softening and dispersal of hardened ear wax.

Dosage

Insert 5 drops once or twice each day and plug ear opening to retain or hold head on one side. Use for 3 to 4 days.

Special Care

Discontinue use if causes irritation or pain.

Avoid Use

Perforated ear drum.

Known Side Effects

'Fizzing' effervescent sensation.
