Fybogel Mebeverine

What is it?

A bulking agent and antispasmodic preparation, produced in the form of effervescent granules in sachets for dissolving in water, containing 135mg mebeverine hydrochloride and 3.5g ispaghula husk. Also, FYBOGEL, a bulking agent produced in the form of plain, lemon or orange- flavoured granules for dissolving in water, containing 3.5g of ispaghula husk.

Medical Uses

Fybogel mebeverine, irritable bowel syndrome; Fybogel, diverticular disease, constipation due to insufficient dietary fibre, IBS, ulcerative colitis, ileostomy, haemorrhoids, colostomy.

Dosage

Adults, Fybogel Mebeverine, 1 sachet every morning and evening half an hour before meals in water. Addi tional sachet before midday meal may Also, be taken. Fybogel, 1 sachet in water taken in the morning and at night. Children, Mebeverine only, 2.5 to 5ml in water, taken in the morning and at night.

Avoid Use

Patients with intestinal obstruction, colon that is not functioning properly due to muscle weakness, serious heart, circulatory and kidney disorders.
