Garamycin

What is it?

An antibiotic preparation available in the form of drops containing 0.3% gentwmicin (as sulphate). Used for. external ear, and eye infections.

Dosage

Ear infections, 3 to 4 drops 3 to 4 times each day; eye infections, 1 to 2 drops into eye every 4 hours.

Avoid Use

(Ears), infections of viral, tuberculous or fungal origin or in which pus is present; perforated ear drum.

Known Side Effects

Superinfection, possible mild irritation of short-lived duration.
