Gregoderm
What is it?
An antibacterial and mildly potent steroid preparation available in the form of an ointment containing 2, 720 units neomycin sulphate, 100,000 units nystatin, 100,000 units polymixin B sulphate and 10mg hydrocortisone per gram.
Medical Uses
Inflammation of the skin where infection is Also, present, psoriasis affecting the scalp.
Dosage
Apply ointment 2 or 3 times each day to affected area.
Special Care
Should not be used on face or on children for more than 5 days. Should be stopped gradually.
Avoid Use
Prolonged or extensive use especially pregnant women or continual use as a preventative. Should not be used to treat acne, leg ulcers, scabies, pen-oral dermatitis, tuberculous skin conditions, skin disorders caused by viruses, ringworm, any untreated bacterial or fungal skin infections.
Known Side Effects
Thinning of skin, adrenal gland suppression, hair growth, Cushingoid type symptoms (as in Cushing's syndrome).
