Hexopal

What is it?

A derivative of nicotininc acid (vitamin B3) available as scored, white tablets marked HV, containing 500mg of inositol nicotinate. Also, HEXOPAL FORTE, available as oval, white, scored tablets marked HEX 750, containing 750mg of inositol nicotinate. Also, HEXOPAL SUSPENSION, a solution containing 1g of inositol nicotinate per 5ml.

Medical Uses

Raynaud's phenomenon (a disorder of the circulation in which there is a periodic interruption of the blood supply to outlying parts of the body, due to spasm of the small arteries involved. In Raynaud's phenomenon, it occurs secondary to another disease such as atherosclerosis or sc1eroderma). Intermittent claudication (weakness and cramp-like pains in the legs, occurring from time to time, caused by poor blood supply to leg muscles).

Dosage

Adults, Hexopal, 2 tablets 3 or 4 times each day; Hexopal Forte, 2 tablets twice each day; Hexopal suspension, 5ml 3 or 4 times each day.

Special Care

Pregnancy.

Avoid Use

Children.
