Hydergine
What is it?
A cerebral activator-ergot alkaloid available as scored, white tablets containing 1.5mg of eodergocrine mesylate marked with strength and name.
Medical Uses
Additional therapy in the treatment of moderate dementia in elderly persons.
Dosage
Adults, 1 tablet 3 times each day, taken before main meals.
Special Care
Severe bradyeardia.
Avoid Use
Children.
Known Side Effects
Blocked nose, rash, flushing, headache, pain in abdomen, giddiness, low blood pressure when rising from lying down (postural hypotension).
