Idrolax

What is it?

A laxative preparation which is an iso-osmotic, available as a powder in a sachet for dissolving in water containing 10g of macrogol 4000.

Medical Uses

constipation.

Dosage

adults, 1 to 2 sachets once each day in the morning; contents of each sachet to be added to a glass of water and drunk.

Avoid Use

children, paralyticileus, obstruction of the bowel or gastrointestinal tract, patients with pain in abdomen of unknown cause, toxic megaculon, inflammatory bowel disorders, occlusive or sub-occlusive syndrome.

Known Side Effects

abdominal distention/bloating, nausea. Rarely, allergic response.
