What is it?

A disinfectant and local anaesthetic preparation produced as a gel in disposable syringes. It contains 2% lignocaine hydrochloride, 0.25% chlorhexidine gluconate, 0.06% methyl hydroxybenzoate, 0.025% propyl hydroxybenzoate.

Medical Uses

Catheter disinfection and lubrication during insertion and as local anaesthetic.

Dosage

6-11ml into urethra, after surrounding skin has been disinfected; Also, consult manufacturer's instructions.

Special Care

Those with serious, local haemorrhage.
