Intal Syncroner

What is it?

A bronchodilator and NSAID, delivering a 5mg dose of sodium cromoglycate by means of a metered dose aerosol with spacer device. Also, INTAL INHALER delivering 5mg of sodium cromoglycate per dose by means of a metered dose aerosol. Also, INTAL SPINCAP, clear yellow spincaps contain 20mg of sodium cromoglycate and are marked INTAL P and FISONS. Also, INTAL NEBULIZER SOLUTION contains 10mg of sodium cromoglycate per ml in 2ml ampoules for use with nebulizer. A/so, INTAL FISONAIRE, a metered dose aerosol with two part, chambered spacer device with a capacity of 700ml, delivering 5mg of sodium cromoglycate per dose.

Medical Uses

Prevention of bronchial asthma.

Dosage

Adults and children, Syncroner, Inhaler, Fisonaire, 2 puffs 4 times each day reducing to 1 puff daily for maintenance. Spincaps, 4 each day in spinhaler taken at regular times continuously, increasing to 6 or 8 each day, if needed. Nebulizer, 20mg 4 to 6 times each day continuously.

Known Side Effects

Irritated throat, short-lived cough; rarely, bronchospasm.
