Ipratropium Steri-Neb

What is it?

An antimuscarine preparation available as a preservative-free, solution in vials for use with nebuliser containing 250µg of ipratropium bromide per ml. Usedfor: reversible airways obstruction (asthma).

Dosage

Adults, 0.4 to 2ml nebulised up to 4 times each day; children aged over 3 years, 0.4 to 2ml with nebuliser up to 3times each day.

Special Care

Enlarged prostate gland, glaucoma.

Avoid Use

Children under 3 years.

Known Side Effects

Dry mouth, retention of urine, constipaption, paradoxical bronchospasm.
