Isocard

What is it?

An antianginal, nitrate preparation available as a solution for delivery via a metered dose aerosol delivering 30mg of isosorbide dinitrate per dose.

Medical Uses

Angina.

Dosage

Adults, 1 or 2 sprays onto the chest in the morning and repeated in the evening, if necessary.

Special Care

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, glaucoma. Do not inhale spray or use near lit flame.

Avoid Use

Children, shock, cerebral haemorrhage, anaemia, low blood pressure on rising up, heart attack with low filling pressure.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Sildenafil.

Known Side Effects

Raised heartbeat, nausea, headache, vertigo, dizziness, flushing, irritation of skin.
