Isotard XL

What is it?

An antianginal and nitrate preparation available as slow-release, cream-coloured tablets in 3 different strengths containing 25mg, 40mg or 60mg of isosorbide mononitrate, all marked with strength.

Medical Uses

Prevention of angina.

Dosage

Adults, 1 tablet each day, taken in the morning, increasing to 2 once daily, if necessary.

Children

Known Side Effects

Flushes, headaches, dizziness.
