What is it?

A stimulant, laxative preparation available as a liquid containing 5mg of sodium picosulphate per 5ml.

Medical Uses

Constipation, clearance of bowel before labour, radiological procedure or surgery.

Dosage

Adults, 5 to 10ml; children, aged under 5 years, 2.5ml; aged 5 to 10 years, 2.5 to 5m. All doses taken at bedtime.

Special Care

Inflammatory disorders of the bowel.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Antibiotics.
