Livostin

What is it?

An antihistamine preparation available as a nasal spray and eye drops, both containing 0.5mg of levocabastine per ml.

Medical Uses

Hay fever, allergic conjunctivitis.

Dosage

Adults and children over 9 years, nasal spray, 2 sprays in each nostril twice each day, increasing if necessary to 3 to 4 sprays daily. Eye drops, 1 drop per eye twice each day, increasing to three or four times each day if required.

Special Care

Pregnancy, soft contact lenses (eye drops).

Avoid Use

Children under 9 years, kidney disorder.

Known Side Effects

Tiredness, headache, sleepiness, local irritation. Eye drops, fluid retention, itching, nettle rash, breathlessness.
