Lyclear Dermal Cream

What is it?

A scabicide preparation available as a cream containing 5% permethrin.

Medical Uses

Crab lice, scabies.

Dosage

Adults, scabies, apply a whole tube (30g) over all of body except face and head, leave for 8 to 10 hours and then thoroughly wash off in bath or shower. Repeat once after 1 week, if required. Crab lice, apply to pubic region and surrounding skin, leave for 24 hours and then wash off thoroughly. Children, scabies only, aged 2 months to 1 year, apply up to 4g over all the body but avoiding face and head; aged 1 to 5 years, apply up to 7.5g; aged 5 to 12 years, apply up to 15g. Leave for 8 to 10 hours and then wash off thoroughly.

Special Care

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, do not allow contact with eyes.

Avoid Use

Not for crab lice in children, not for children aged under 2 months.
