Mengivac (A + C)
What is it?
A vaccine preparation containing inactivated surface antigen of meningitis A and C. It is produced as a powder in vials, with diluent, containing 501g of both group A and group C polysaccharide antigens of Neisseria meningitidis.
Medical Uses
Immunization against meningitis, types A and C.
Dosage
Adults and children over eighteen months, 0.5ml by deep subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
Special Care
Pregnancy, breastfeeding.
Avoid Use
Patients with severe infections and feverish illnesses.
Possible Drug and Food Interactions
Agents which suppress the immune system.
Known Side Effects
Local skin reactions, slight fever.
