An Analgesic Preparation Which Is An Opiate Partial Agonist Available As Film-Coated Orange Tablets Containing 200mg Of Meptazinol Marked MPL023. Also, MEPTID INJECTION Containing 100mg Of Meptazinol As Hydrochloride Per Ml.
Medical Uses
Short-Term Relief Of Pain.
Dosage
Adults, 75 To 100mg By Intramuscular Injection Or 50 To 100mg Intravenously, By Slow Injection. May Be Repeated Every 2 To 4 Hours As Required. Obstetric Patients, 2mg Per Kg Of Body Weight Given Intramuscularly.
Special Care
Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, Liver Or Kidney Disease, Head Injury, Serious Breathing Problems.
Avoid Use
Children.
