Merocaine

What is it?

An antiseptic and local anaesthetic preparation available as green lozenges containing 1.4mg of cetylpyridinium chloride and 10mg of benzocaine.

Medical Uses

Infections of the mouth, throat or teeth, additional treatment in tonsilitis and pharyngitis.

Dosage

Adults, 1 lozenge dissolved in mouth every 2 hours with a maximum of 8 in 24 hours.

Avoid Use

Children.
