Minims Atropine

What is it?

An anticholinergic preparation for the eye in the form of preservative-free, single-dose drops containing 1% atropine sulphate.

Medical Uses

To pr oduce mydnasis (dilation of the pupil of the eye by contraction of certain muscles in the iris) and cytoplegia (paralysis of the muscles of accommodation in the eye along with relaxation of the ciliary muscle). This is to allow examination of eye.

Dosage

Adults and children, 1 drop as required.

Avoid Use

Narrow angle glaucoma.
