Minims Dexamethasone

What is it?

A corticosteroid preparation in the form of preservative-free, eye drops in single dose units containing 0.1% dexamethasone sodium phosphate.

Medical Uses

Inflammatory conditions of theeye in which there is no infection.

Dosage

Adults, 1 or 2 drops up to 6 times each day; children, consult manufacturer's instructions.

Special Care

Prolonged use, glaucoma.

Avoid Use

Pregnancy, brenstfeeding, long-term use in children, fungal, viral, tuberculous eye infections or any producing pus.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Snticholinergics.

Known Side Effects

Cataract, thinning of cornea, fungal infection, rise in pressure within eye.
