Monomax
What is it?
An antianginal and nitrate preparation available as sustained-release, white capsules in two strengths, containing 40mg and 60mg of isosorbide mononitrate marked ISMN SR and with strength. Also, MONOMAX XL, oval, sustained-release, scored white tablets containing 60mg of isosorbide mononitrate, SL 60.
Medical Uses
Prevention of angina.
Dosage
Adults, Monomax, 40 to 60mg taken once each day in the morning; dose may be increased to 120mg once each day, if needed. Monomax XL, 1 tablet once each day in the morning; if necessary, dose can be increased by 1/z a tablet over first 2 to 4 days until 2 tablets are being taken once daily.
Avoid Use
Children.

Flushing, dizziness, headaches.
