What is it?
A preparation of freeze- dried human coagulation factor IX with antihaemophiliac activity of 500 and 1000 units, available in vials for reconstitution and injection.

Haemophilia B.
Dosage
By intravenous infusion depending upon patient's weight, presence of inhibitors and severity of bleeding, in accordance with manufacturer's literature.
Special Care
Risk of transmission of viruses responsible for serious illnesses including HIV/AIDs, hepatitis B. Risks versus benefits should be assessed prior to use.
Known Side Effects
Allergic reactions, flushing, vomiting and nausea, headache, fever, chills, tiredness. Possible thromboembolism. If hypersensitivity reactions occur, drug should be withdrawn.
