Myotonine

What is it?

A cholinergic preparation available as scored white tablets containing 10mg of bethanechol chloride and white, cross-scored tablets containing 25mg of bethanechol chloride.

Medical Uses

Reflux oesophagitis, retention of urine.

Dosage

Adults, 10-25mg 3 to 4 times each day.

Avoid Use

Children, pregnancy, breast- feeding, recent heart attack, obstruction of urinary or gastrointestinal tract.

Known Side Effects

Blurred vision, abdominal pains, nausea, frequency of urination, vomiting, sweating. !
