Nalorex

What is it?

A narcotic antagonist available as film-coated, yellow, scored tablets containing 50mg of naltrexone hydrochloride tablets and marked DuPont and 11.

Medical Uses

Maintenance treatment for patients detoxified after opioid dependency.

Dosage

Adults, 25mg each day to start with and then 50mg per day for at least 3 months. Treatment should be started in a drug addiction centre.

Special Care

Kidney or liver disorder.

Avoid Use

A current dependence on opi ates, liver failure, acute hepatitis.

Known Side Effects

Drowsiness, dizziness, cramps, vomiting, joint and muscle pains.
