Natrilix

What is it?

Diuretic preparation available as white, film-coated tablets containing 2.5mg of indapamide hemihydrate. Also, Natrilix SR, sustained release, white tablets containing 1.5mg of indapamide hemihydrate.

Medical Uses

High blood pressure.

Dosage

Adults, 1 tablet taken in the morning.

Avoid Use

Children, pregnancy, breast- feeding, severe liver or kidney failure, low blood potassium levels, sensitivity to sulfonamides.

Possible Drug and Food Interactions

Cortieosteroids, laxatives, lithium, TCADs, drugs that cause torsade de pointes or that prolong QT interval (conditions relating to heartbeat rhythm), amphotericin, calcium salts, ACE inhibitors, cardiac glycosides, diuretics, antiarrhythmics, NSAIDS, baclofen, cyclosporin, metformin.

Known Side Effects

Nausea, headache, low blood potassium levels, allergic responses, skin rashes.
