Neoclarityn

What is it?

An antihistamine preparation available as film-coated, blue tablets marked with logo, containing 5mg of deslorwtadine. Also, NEOCLARITYN SYRUP, containing 0.5mg of desloratadine per ml.

Medical Uses

Seasonal and perennial hay fever (allergic rhinitis), chronic nettle rash (urticaria).

Dosage

Adults, 1 tablet or 10ml of syrup once each day. Children, syrup only, aged 2 to 5 years, 2.5ml once each day; aged 6 to 11 years, 5ml once each day.

Special Care

Pregnancy, severe kidney disease.

Avoid Use

Children (tablets), children under 2 years (syrup), breastfeeding, allergy to loatadine.

Known Side Effects

Tiredness, dry mouth headache. All adverse side effects should be reported to the Committee on the Safety of Medicines (CSM).
