Nutineal PD4

What is it?

A CAPD buffered solution which is preservative and glucose-free containing electrolytes and essential and non-essential amino acids.

Medical Uses

In malnourished patients with end stage kidney failure for peritoneal dialysis.

Dosage

Adults, administered by intraperitoneal infusion according to individual patient need. Consult manufacturer's literature.

Special Care

Pregnancy, serious liver failure, diabetes, uncorrected acidosis, high ammonia levels in blood. Fluids and electrolytes must be monitored.

Avoid Use

Patients who have recently undergone abdominal surgery or who have conditions affecting the abdominal wall.

Known Side Effects

Fluid and electrolyte imbalance, hyperazotaemia, peritoneal infection, imbalance of fluids and electrolytes.
