Oilatum Cream

What is it?

An emollient (skin softening) preparation available as a cream containing 15% soft white paraffin and 6% light liquid paraffin. Also, OILATUM EMOLIENT, bath liquid containing 63.4% liquid paraffin. Also, OILATUM GEL, shower emolient gel containing 70% liquid paraffin. Also, OILATUM PLUS, antiseptic bath emolient containing 52.5% liquid paraffin and 6% benzalkonium chloride.

Medical Uses

Eczema and dry skin conditions; Oilatum Plus when there is additional risk of infection.

Dosage

Oilatum cream, adults and children, apply after washing and drying skin, as required. Oilatum emolient, adults and children, mix 1 to 3 capfuls with bath water and immerse skin for 10 to 20 minutes or apply thinly to wet skin, rub in and then rinse and dry. Infants, mix 1/2 to 2 capfuls to wash basin of water and apply over whole body. Oilatum Gel, adults and children, apply to wet skin, rub in, rinse and then dry. Oilatum Plus, adults and children, mix 2 capfuls with bath water and immerse skin for 10 to 15 minutes, once each day. Infants aged over 6 months, mix 1ml with water in baby bath and immerse skin for 10 to 15 minutes, once each day.
