Optilast

What is it?

Antihistamine preparation available as eyedrops containing 0.05% of azelastine hydrochloride.

Medical Uses

Seasonal and perennial allergic conjunctivitis.

Dosage

Adults, 1 drop in each eye twice each day, if necessary, increasing to 4 times daily. Use should be for 6 weeks only in perennial conjunctivitis. Children aged over 4 years, for seasonal conjunctivitis only, dose as for adults.

Avoid Use

Children aged under 4 years.

Known Side Effects

Bitter taste in mouth, local irritation of eye.
