What is it?

A hyaluronin available as a solution in pre-prepared (2ml) syringes containing 15mg of sodium hyaluronate per ml.

Medical Uses

Synovial fluid replacement in conditions such as osteoarthritis, to provide a viscous and elastic supplement to protect the joint.

Dosage

Adults, one 2ml injection into knee joint, every week for 3 weeks. Maximum dose is 1 course of 3 injections in each knee in any 6 month period.

Special Care

Joint space should not be over-filled.

Avoid Use

Children, joints that are severely inflamed or infected, patients who are allergic to bird (chicken/egg) proteins.
